Our history

• 1993 -

  The first rack of Sweet Rain ribs were put on the fire!

• 1993 -

  The first rack of Sweet Rain BBQ ribs were thrown in the garbage and the second rack of Sweet Rain BBQ ribs were put on the fire.

• 2001 -

  Priest Holmes of the Kansas City Chiefs hired our event company to hold his pregame tailgates at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City. We fed his family and friends Barbeque during his hall of fame season and NFL rushing title.

• 2003 -

  Went to work for corporate America but we never gave up on that dream of serving the best Barbeque in the world.

• 2023 -

  It's been a long time and we've come a long ways and I'm proud to announce the opening of the state of the art Sweet Rain BBQ Mobile Smokehouse.

A message from the owner

It's always been a dream of mine to open a BBQ joint. I never knew exactly what it would look like or what exactly I'd serve. I just knew that I really didn't care, as long as I was able to do what I love, and see the joy in people's faces when they enjoy the food. I see Barbeque differently than most folks, I see it as a way of bringing people together. You can't say the world hasn't changed over the years and I maybe getting older but I think the world needs to eat a little more BBQ with their neighbors right now. So come check us out, we appreciate your support. Luke Combs said it best when he sang. "I'd still be doing this, if I wasn't doing this."
